The use of co2 fire extinguishers
In use, the fire extinguisher should first be mentioned to the fire site, in about 5 meters from the burning object, put down the extinguisher, pull out the safety pin, one hand holding the handle at the root of the horn barrel, the other hand holding the pressure handle of the opening and closing valve. For co2 fire extinguishers without injection hoses, the horn barrel should be pulled upward 70-90 degrees. When using, do not directly grab the outer wall of the horn barrel or the metal connection tube with your hands to prevent frostbite. When extinguishing the fire, when the combustible liquid is flowing and burning, the user will spray the jet of carbon dioxide extinguishing agent to the flame from near to far. If the combustible liquid is burning in the container, the user should lift the flared barrel and spray it from the upper part of the side of the container to the burning container. However, the carbon dioxide jet cannot be directly impacted the combustible liquid surface, in order to prevent the combustible liquid out of the container and expanding the fire, causing difficulties in extinguishing the fire. In the use of co2 fire extinguishers, used outdoors, should choose the upwind direction of the spray; in the narrow indoor space, the operator should quickly leave after the fire to prevent asphyxiation.
